Have you caught yourself thinking about how it’s going to be when you get “there” ~ wherever or whatever “there” might be for you?
I can so relate to this kind of forward thinking in my personal life as well as professionally.
I have imagined how great it will feel when I accomplish a certain goal, attain a certain weight, achieve a certain level of financial freedom ~ common daydreams or visions that I’m sure most of us relate to in some way ~ with many of our own personalized and private desires as well.
I can also recall times when I would enjoy the process of envisioning a certain change or shift within my professional world ~ the creation of a new program ~ a new way of doing something ~ more funding ~ a paradigm shift that made a real difference for people ~ for all of us.
There’s not a thing wrong with daydreaming and visualizing ~ with getting into the feeling of what might be ~ what we hope for. It is time well spent, to a point, of course.
The Very Next Step
We always have to bring ourselves back to this moment and the very next step in front of us. And on top of that, we are most powerful when we can cultivate acceptance for what already is even as we envision something bigger and better ~ even when we don’t like what exists right now. Remember, it’s all about harnessing our personal power as the omnipotent creators we are ~ and that requires releasing resistance.
What I have to come to notice in addition to these elements of powerful co-creation – the envisioning, the feeling, the presence, the acceptance ~ is that once we do actually get “there” ~ it changes.
“There” becomes something else ~ somewhere else ~ some other time.
Hopefully, we have the presence of mind and spirit to actually arrive “there” and capture the moment of having made it before we begin chasing after “there” again.
We are always on the bridge ~ always. We think we are going to end up on the other side, but somewhere in the middle of it all, the bridge is being extended and we don’t know that until we get “there” and realize that here is not actually there.
Where the hell am I anyway? Did we really think that getting “there” was somehow going to be the end of the journey? When we get there, we are now here and there becomes the next destination.
Stop to celebrate ~ explore here ~ and don’t be surprised when you realize that getting here has not brought you to there…yet.
We can apply this same kind of process to the evolution of our minds and our beings. We always have just what we need for now. Throughout our journey, we can hope to learn how to trust that we will be provided what we will need later.
We have a certain capacity for understanding right now that is limited in some way. A year from now, if we are paying attention, we might come to realize that some of those limitations have been removed and our perspective and capacity to understand ~ and to know ~ has expanded.
Only to discover that you are now aware of a different set of limitations ready to be released.
Bliss is Knowing the Joy of the Journey
One of my favourite people to listen to each day is Christopher Witecki ~ www.siriusjoy.tv . He is a Psychic Astrologer ~ a “God Service Provider” well versed in mysteries both spiritual and astrological in nature and a ton of fun to listen to. Check him out if it resonates!
Anyway, a few weeks ago, Christopher was sharing that with the current astrological elements, we would feel a release of old fears that had plagued us ~ they would simply be shed finally. But, not to worry, he said, there will be a whole bunch of other things to be afraid of! In other words, we would find ourselves In new situations ~ In unfamiliar territory ~ and that is usually a recipe for the creation of fears.
As long as we are here ~ we cannot be there.
Stay here ~ it’s where it’s happening anyway!
